Spring has sprung, and so has the life of the Northwoods!
Wisconsin’s fishing opener debuted May 2nd, annually the state sees astonishing numbers from roughly 1.3 to 1.4 million licensed anglers hitting the lakes. With Michigan’s opener coming up soon, May 15th, we are excited to see friendly faces on our dearest Cisco Chain of Lakes. Bent’s Camp sits on the only lake that is entirely within Wisconsin, while the other 14 lakes sit on the border of Michigan, that is why this chain of 15 lakes is very special. Fishing and hunting seasons differ between the two states, and we get to access them both right from the docks of Bent’s.
Our team has been hard at work and there’s lots of exciting changes at Bent’s ahead of the summer season. New bar coolers, kitchen appliances, cabin upgrades, as well as a new look for the Bait Shop. Our bait shop on the property selling fishing bait, lures, merch, drinks and snacks has a new name: Bent’s Camp Outfitters! Even though Bent’s Camp Outfitters is new, it is still the same old bait shop, now with an expanded inventory of bait, tackle and provisions. We’ve added tons of lures and tackle, nets, minnow buckets and other fishing supplies, along with an expanded collection of convenience store items such as new drinks and snacks, nicotine products, and more. Forgot some household items and don’t want to run to town? We’ve got you covered, from cabin essentials like body wash, deodorant, medicine, charcoal, to kitchen necessities available for your convenience. Stop by and see the new look, Bent’s Camp Outfitters is open seven days a week from 7AM-5PM.
We are getting ready for what we would like to call the best summer experience in the Northwoods, a Bent’s Camp Summer! As we get our summer music lineup settled, our specialty drink and food list finalized, and prep our 14 cabins, we can’t help but wish time went by faster so we can see all of your faces sooner.
